Ink for the Epson i3200 U1

The i3200 is the highest nozzle count of the three families in the narrowest head, which is why it ends up on so many small and mid-width machines: dense output without the price of an industrial head. It is also the head where the wrong order does the most damage, because the suffix that decides the ink is the part people leave off.

The U1 is the UV variant. **U1 and E1 are not revisions of one head — they are different heads**, built for UV and eco-solvent ink respectively, and neither will run the other’s. Putting UV through an E1 cures inside it. If a supplier offers you "i3200 ink" without asking which letter you have, they do not know what you are running, and that is the moment to stop.

Where it is found

Machines carrying this head

On our range it runs the F1310, F6090, F4060 and H1800E, in configurations from two heads to eight. Beyond our range it is fitted to a very large number of machines sold in India, in all three variants.

Practice

The letter is on the head and on your invoice

Before ordering anything, find the variant. It is printed on the head itself and it is on the original machine invoice. If the machine has had a head replaced, the invoice may no longer be right — check the head. Two minutes of looking is cheaper than a head, and this is the single most common expensive mistake made on this family.

More on this in what actually kills a printhead and reading a nozzle check.

Ordering

What to tell us

  • The variant letter — U1, E1 or A1
  • The machine make and model, and how many heads
  • Which channels are fitted, especially white and varnish
  • Whether you are running soft or hard grade today, if you know

We confirm the exact ink against your head and machine before anything ships. Matching on a head name alone is how the wrong ink gets sent, and on this head that is an expensive mistake rather than a return.

What we do not claim

The figures we are not going to invent

Epson publishes nozzle count, native resolution, print width and frequency for this head, and those figures appear on the printhead guide, attributed to Epson. What is not published anywhere — by Epson or by us — is a service life. How long an i3200 lasts depends on ink quality and daily cleaning far more than on hours run, and anyone quoting you a figure in years is guessing.

Next step

Order ink for the Epson i3200 U1

Send the machine and the head. We confirm the chemistry and the channels before anything ships.

Ink is quoted, not listed. What a litre costs you depends on coverage, resolution and how much white you run, so tell us the machine and the volume and we will price the actual order.
