7 machines print on acrylic

Acrylic printing machines

Acrylic is the substrate that sells UV flatbeds. It is rigid, it is often clear, and the finish customers pay for — a solid white base under colour, or a raised gloss varnish on top — is exactly what a UV machine adds and a solvent machine cannot.

Why acrylic needs this machine class

Acrylic will not go through a roll machine, and ink that is not cured hard will not stay on a smooth non-porous surface. A flatbed holds the sheet flat on a vacuum bed and cures the ink as it lands, so the sheet comes off dry and stackable.

The other materials these machines take

Most buyers print two or three materials, not one. If you are weighing which class of machine to buy at all, UV, solvent or eco-solvent settles it in three questions.

Send us your acrylic

Bring the material to a demo, or send a photo of it. We will tell you which machine handles it and what the finish looks like before you commit to anything.

Machines are sold in configurations, so the specification decides the price. Tell us the material and the volume and we will quote the exact build.
