Ink for the Epson XP600

The XP600 is the head most entry and mid-range roll machines sold in India are built around. It is inexpensive to replace by industrial standards, which is exactly why it ends up in so many machines — and why the ink you feed it matters more than it would on a head costing ten times as much.

We do not sell a machine carrying this head. We do supply the ink for it — you do not have to have bought the machine from us.

The ink

What this head takes

This is the head where people most often order the wrong thing. The XP600 is used in eco-solvent, UV and water-based builds, and the head does not tell you which one you have — the machine does. An XP600 plumbed for eco-solvent will not take UV ink, and putting UV through it cures inside the head. Always order against the machine, never against the head alone.

Where it is found

Machines carrying this head

Widely fitted to entry and mid-range eco-solvent roll machines, small UV flatbeds and hybrid machines across the Indian market, usually in one-, two- or four-head configurations. It is not one machine and not one manufacturer, which is the whole difficulty: two machines carrying the same XP600 can be plumbed for entirely different ink.

Practice

What kills an XP600

Disuse, more than duty. This head does not like standing idle: solvent evaporates at the nozzle plate, pigment concentrates and the channel blocks — and on a head this size a blocked channel is a large share of your nozzles. Shops that run one job a week lose more XP600s than shops that run all day. If the machine is going to stand, cap it properly and follow the idle routine rather than hoping.

More on this in what actually kills a printhead and reading a nozzle check.

Ordering

What to tell us

  • The machine make and model, not just "XP600"
  • Which ink it runs today — eco-solvent, UV or water-based
  • How many heads are fitted, and the channels on each
  • Whether white is fitted, and whether it circulates

We confirm the exact ink against your head and machine before anything ships. Matching on a head name alone is how the wrong ink gets sent, and on this head that is an expensive mistake rather than a return.

What we do not claim

The figures we are not going to invent

We publish no nozzle count, drop volume or expected service life for this head. We do not sell a machine carrying it, so we have no manufacturer datasheet to quote, and the figures on reseller listings contradict one another. A supplier who quotes you a life expectancy for an XP600 is guessing.

Next step

Order ink for the Epson XP600

Send the machine and the head. We confirm the chemistry and the channels before anything ships.

Ink is quoted, not listed. What a litre costs you depends on coverage, resolution and how much white you run, so tell us the machine and the volume and we will price the actual order.
