Ink for the Konica 1024i and 1024a

The 1024 is what a machine carries when it is quoted in hundreds of square metres an hour. It is fitted in banks — four, eight, twelve, up to twenty-four on the widest machine we sell — and at that scale the ink bill stops being a line item and becomes the business.

The ink

What this head takes

Versions: 1024i · 1024a

Soft UV on the hybrid and roll machines, solvent on the solvent ones — the machine decides, not the head, because the same head family serves both. The i and the a are different heads with different drop behaviour, and the catalogue treats them as distinct: our H3300 speed table quotes a 6 PL figure for the 1024a specifically. Order against the machine and the exact variant.

Where it is found

Machines carrying this head

The wide UV hybrid and roll machines, and the widest solvent machines. On our own range it runs the H3300, H5300, 3408UV and 5300UV, and it appears in bank configurations on comparable machines from other manufacturers.

Practice

At this scale, filtration is the whole game

A bank of twelve heads pulls ink through the system fast enough that anything suspended in it reaches a nozzle quickly. That makes ink quality and filtration matter more here than on any small machine — a batch that would merely annoy a two-head desktop can take out several heads on a production machine before anyone notices the pattern. Change filters on schedule rather than on symptoms, and do not mix batches mid-run if you can avoid it.

More on this in what actually kills a printhead and reading a nozzle check.

Ordering

What to tell us

  • The machine make and model, and how many heads are fitted
  • Whether it is the 1024i or the 1024a
  • Soft UV or solvent — or tell us the machine and we will confirm
  • Monthly volume, because at this scale pack size changes the economics

We confirm the exact ink against your head and machine before anything ships. Matching on a head name alone is how the wrong ink gets sent, and on this head that is an expensive mistake rather than a return.

What we do not claim

The figures we are not going to invent

No nozzle count, no drop volume and no rated life. Konica Minolta does not publish per-head figures for these the way Ricoh and Epson do for theirs, and the numbers on reseller listings disagree with each other. The one Konica figure on this site is the 9888H panel printed in the specification sheet, and it is attributed there.

Next step

Order ink for the Konica 1024i / 1024a

Send the machine and the head. We confirm the chemistry and the channels before anything ships.

Ink is quoted, not listed. What a litre costs you depends on coverage, resolution and how much white you run, so tell us the machine and the volume and we will price the actual order.
